Coming together from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, our skilled team of professionals is the backbone of Charles City Cultural Equity Board. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization as it continues to develop. Read on to learn more about some of our incredible team members.
Born and bred in the Windy City of Chicago, IL ...Education.....Hubbard High School, go greyhounds...attended Central Texas College, Hopkinsville Community College, while serving in the US Army, graduate of NIACC, and currently attending Hawkeye Community College studying Medical Laboratory Technology. Volunteer work includes Habitat for Humanity in Mason City, One Vision in Clear Lake, PEO and Chair for Floyd County, and currently in my second year with Americorp under the guidelines of Iowa State University and the Department of Human Services. Acting Chair for Charles City Cultural Equity Board. Moved to small town Iowa in May of 2009, with hopes of connecting to a community with the more wholesome outlook that my grandparents and parents, raised me to have.

Erik moved back to town in 2011.He is a lover of the arts, animals, food, travel, and literature. He joined Charles City Cultural Equity Board in 2020.
Katie Kellogg is a Michigan native, who has lived in Iowa for 6 years now. Homeschooling mother of 4, married for 10 years. She is a food enthusiast, who loves all things music, art and dance.
Emily joined the CEB Board in the summer of 2020. She is also Director at the Charles City Arts Center and a studio potter.
Darci has lived in Charles City for 12 years. She is married, has three children, and a puppy. She joined the CEB during a time of global unrest and hopes this small group, in the small town of Charles City, can work together to make a big impact on the local community.
